If you are reading this blog, it’s because it found you. That small bursting forth curiosity for something more made you click on the blog that I never distributed by email or social media. you might not take seriously. It’s here as a stone stacked for remembrance of the real God that isn’t absent but living and moving among us just like He did in Acts 2.

If you are simply to ask for more of Him one night in faith, you might just wake up the next morning from a spiritual hangover of a raging experience. He’s the God of the Universe. And the same power that rose Jesus from the dead can live inside of you if you are to only make Him Lord of your life (Romans 8:11).

I didn’t intend to be a “charismatic.” But that’s what they’ll call me sharing stories like this. Get rid of titles and denominations and human tradition and look for the real, true, living God. That’s all I’ve done, I’ve followed Jesus, treated the Bible like water for my soul that I’d die without (Psalm 42:1), and been up this path where life with Him is thrilling and beautiFULL

The first time I saw Indian Malays praying violently for revival, and at their prayers my teammates started falling to the ground, screaming “Hallelujah” at the gates of Hell, simultaneously tearing and laughing, I was afraid and questioned if it could be of the Lord. He eventually showed me it was Him. Make sure it’s of Jesus the one with all authority, glory, power, and dominion (Ephesians 1:18-23).

It’s actually biblical to sometimes be afraid when you encounter the Presence, just read the disciples reactions to Jesus walking on water (John 6:16-24). But in order for good to really overcome evil, Good has to be more powerful than the grave, more powerful than evil we see in this world like sex trafficking or genocide or oppression. Love Himself created the lightning bolts and you. Love and light overcomes darkness. The point of spiritual is that it is beyond the norm of the natural. So don’t limit your faith to religiosity or physics or to what you can understand in your mortal mind. And read for yourself if you do feel compelled.

A night for the books

Imagine a spotlight projector, sort of like that one in that great and powerful Oz movie, it’s the wonderous projection set up with fireworks bursting off the planned out scene.

He is the Great Screen Writer, and it gave Him a lot of joy to write this night out…to bring the 10 of us in particular to a tree house on an island in Panama. He set up the scene just right

9:30pm-12am we prayed in the tree house, the Spirit of God poured out, and we took ground for the Kingdom in Jesus Name literally.

He had that moment designed for us. He even planted it in my head since the beginning of being on this island that this team is intercessors (prayer warriors) and this team might just all get the gift of tongues (1 Cor 14/15, Acts 19:6)- well, did pray for it to be so (like it happened with my World Race America team) with one of those faith of a mustard seed prayers. The past 2 days in particular it’s been on my heart, and we’ve been talking about it some with the Maui yyam team.

After a worship that ended with a bit of heaviness, one of the racers and I go off to pray in tongues at “the lighthouse”. The lighthouse area doesn’t have electricity. But it had electricity this night.

We were flowing, the Spirit was resting heavy on my stomach like He does, and then one of the racers was open to having us pray for her that she’d receive tongues. The golden light, the pure in heart will see God and she was looking at Him. As one prayed over someone in tongues for the first time, a whole lot of “Yeshua, Jesus” needed to be proclaimed in this place where people have been seeing demons.

Well get this, one of the racers had walked over and just wanted to watch us pray in tongues, and then she went back to some of the YYAM teams and some of our team. One of the boys had another highlighted to pray for. But one was led to pray over the other. As we were praying in the lighthouse, they were praying powerfully on the deck. One comes running over “She just spoke in tongues!”

We all decide to go down to the tree house for more. We wanted more from the Lord.

We got it.

Don’t forget that powerful, ground taking prayer that one proclaimed over the other racer and the lighthouse before we went…and so…

In the tree house  –

Person to person the Spirit was flowing out of our mouths. The same Spirit, the same Ruach, the breathe of God flowing through each one of us with a measure of faith needed to stand. The wind of God came in the form of violent vast prayers, songs, slow and quiet and still moments – all of it. The Body was at work. This reminded me of Awakening in Washington; I thought a moment like that wouldn’t happen on this race or who knows if ever again for me. But this was like it.

He is the same powerful God everywhere for many people.

One speaking out her fears, her fears leaving and lightness coming over her. And to think she almost didn’t come down. And she started speaking in tongues after we prayed for one of the yyamers proclaiming – “the greatest gift is salvation (Luke 10:20), thank you God for every person that is going to be saved and delivered because of this man of God…” Four racers spoke in tongues for the first time this night. But what’s more amazing was the freedom released over each of us.

We had to clear the space, had to proclaim it as the Lord’s. It shifted the atmosphere from evil darkness to peaceful goodness.

Prayer changes things, and I cannot even begin to explain how true that statement is.

My hands were shaking as I prayed; one was shaking as we prayed over her (and as the very song that means the world, the boys who didn’t know that about her, start singing “Im no longer a slave to fear, I am a child of God”); one seemed knocked out; a yyamer had fallen out in the Spirit during worship earlier.

Chains were broken. And the Lord was with us. In us. Around us. ON US (Joel 2:28, Acts 2, Numbers 11:25, Matthew 3:16).

It honestly was work to pray like that for that long, Spirit just pouring out without thought. It took perseverance and endurance to stay and wait, but no part of you really wants to leave that space where God is. That supernatural, peaceful, loving, thick space where God is

But that’s why we’ve had 3 weeks of sitting in the quiet with Him, that why we spend hours reading more Scripture than ever…because He’s makes you ready for moments like tonight. That you didn’t even know were coming.

Faithful, Powerful God

To find this blog, and wow did I need it. In the moments I have found my self closed off to the works of the spirit, he has drawn even closer to me and chased after me even harder. Thank you

  6. Wow that’s actually so incredible to hear! I debated on posting this blog, but the Lord’s beautiful in how He works. He loves you so much. And it’s really easy to find ourselves closed off or hesitant to the Spirit, to quench the Spirit because it’s uncomfortable and beyond. But life and power and peace and Kingdom impact are found there. So keep looking at Jesus and go deeper! It’s worth it, I just had a moment last night where He showed me there is so much more
