We worshipped our Father with a 16 year old boy who has special needs. His mom was in love with him. The moment watered our eyes and hearts.

We kept walking through the neighborhood. We decided to go back to talk to a man we’d seen earlier.

These little kids came running out of their tin house wearing dirt on their clothes.

Then, she introduced herself to us. She brought us to her place of work : her backyard farm. She brought up her financial struggles and the pain shooting through her back.

Immediately within I knew we’d pray for healing. And unlike ever before, I knew without a doubt she’d be healed.

When we prayed the first time the pain went from a 5 to a 2 (on a scale of 1-10). And we knew we had to pray again.

But rewind before the first prayer, we asked “Cree en miraglos?” And she said yes.

She believed Jesus could do miracles, and we said we’re going to pray for one right now.

I’ve prayed like that in power and by the Holy Spirit within my communities, but it’s not too often I have the boldness to go all out in an evangelism moment. This was different. We laid hands, and the women said she felt heat like fire coming off our hands as we prayed.

The second time we prayed the pain went to a 0. The pain completely lifted! Her face was in awe; her countenance in shock.

Something changes when we stop making it about us. Stop making it about our doubts, fears, hesitation, and what we can do. It’s the point where it’s no longer me who lives, but Christ who lives in me (Galatians 2:20).

This is the greatest mountain I’m facing right now.

To live as a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1-2). To be away from my beloved family and trust support to come in. To deny myself in the way of forgetting about myself and just remembering Christ. It’s the narrow path where following Jesus is costly. It might cost you your time, your pride, leaving your family, even your life. It’s so abundantly worth it. It’s Grace to follow Christ in his suffering and in his resurrection. It’s for partnering with Him on His salvation of the word; His restoration and healing of hearts and entire lives.

I was radically saved

I mean I knew Jesus’ work and salvation to be true

So close I could touch

In the hard and stumbling, He gave me grace to Remain in Him and Scripture

His hand reached out through His people

His Spirit poured out

He showed me who I am and what I was made for

Then He called me to lay it all down

I’ve had two people (in the last year) tell me they feel God is bringing me into a season of miracles, a season where I will see the fruit of years of faithfulness. Where there is fire in my hands that will bring inward and outward healing to many. Fire that would ignite people already covered in gasoline. The week one of them told me that, I had imagined my hands with fire and a heart in them and also a well of living water with fire on it.

If I’m being honest, I questioned this. I’m in awe that the two times we’ve prayed for healing since being here, they’ve been completely healed – pain gone.

The words spoken beginning to come to pass before my eyes, confirming the prophecy that we are not supposed to quench (1 Thessalonians 5:19-22).

I mean we prayed over the lady, and she described how our hands emitted heat and “el fuego del Espíritu Santo”.

The other miracle –

We had an extra hour in town, and decided to pray for direction from the Lord if He wanted us to talk to anyone in downtown Antigua

We ended up talking to a woman highlighted to us who was sitting on the street. Immediately she opened up and poured out tears about her story and how hard the pandemic has been for her and her children. She said her feet felt like fire and hurt so bad. We asked if we could lay hands and pray in the name of Jesus, we asked for a miracle (miraglo) and the pain went from a 10 to a 0! She was walking on them gingerly as we left.

I went a year and a half being a part of like 3 miracles in evangelism though we prayed for many more, and now this in just one week.

The point is NOT seeing miracles; the point is to be faithful and obey God no matter the results.

It’s not about whether we see miracles or not. It’s just about us being faithful and obedient in love. Planting and watering the seed that God will make grow (1 Cor 3:7-9).

The enemy lies about spending time with God – the source of Life. You can’t spend enough time with Him. His Word is food that you will never get full from.

We need to spend time getting filled by Him day and night and that is how we will bear fruit and bring Kingdom (Psalm 1).

So don’t back out, don’t listen to lies. Remain in the vine (John 15).

I felt like I needed a break from how much deeper I feel as though the Lord is calling me. It felt like too much.

But my friends reminded me, hey you don’t know if this season of revelation and fruit is to prepare you for a season that is coming that might be dry and dark.

Aleysia – God doesn’t give revelation unless you need it now. And if He’s not giving you new revelation, then you need to still be faithful with the last revelation He gave you. Take all the water jugs of the Spirit you can with you into the next season!

Pray that I’ll persevere to spend more time than ever with my Father and His Living Word, though at times I don’t want to.

It all feels like an image the Lord showed me of us taking off into a rocket into space, but resting under the shelter of His wings (Psalm 91).

I doubted my ability to hear God’s voice. But it’s less about ability, and more about yielding and stripping away distractions in the quiet. In His Presence. He’s been giving more visions to us, and we’ve stepped into intercession (prayer that involves standing on behalf of others before God even if it means you feel the agony of others – like Jesus’ did for us).

There’s legitimate evil at work in this world. Until Jesus comes back, terrible things happen. But prayer and ministry as sons and daughters are the work we get to do to partner with God against that evil!!

The harvest is plentiful the workers are few, so pray he’d send more workers (Luke 10:2). Lord send more workers; Lord send me (Isaiah 6:8).

All we have to do is put on our crowns, as my friends have been teaching me. We are co-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17), made to do the same works Jesus did and even greater. Don’t take my word for it; He said it! (John 14:12/Matthew 10:8).

(For more on demonstrating the Gospel by the power of the Spirit listen to this podcast!)

We aren’t seeing it, because we are not living in the authority Christ purchased for us on the Cross – that made us sons and daughters – that made the same power behind the cosmos dwell in us and run out of us like living water (John 7).

We aren’t seeing it, because we aren’t risking faith and asking Him to move.

We aren’t seeing it, because we want to stay comfortable and stay normal.

We aren’t seeing it, because we are not asking as if we’ve already received it (Mark 11:12)!

We aren’t seeing it, because we are filling our time and minds and hearts with what is not Him.

We get to bring family to those without one, to usher healing and the tangible Presence of God in dark and hopeless places. To come alive as you glean from those made in the image of God. Seeing their beauty and pain, you get a glimpse of God’s heart for them.

When we don’t see healing, the important part isn’t why. The most powerful faith is the one like Abraham’s. The one found in the waiting. The one found trusting when it doesn’t make sense, because you believe Him to be faithful and above all. Faith in what we can see is not faith at all (Hebrews 11).

We aren’t trusting in what God can give us, we’re trusting in Him as our Good Father.

That He withholds no good thing (Psalm 84:11). That there is trouble on this side of Heaven, but Jesus has overcome it (John 16:33). We can entrust in the One who loves us and is with us. No matter what, that what the enemy meant for evil He’ll turn it for good (Genesis 50:20).

It’s hard

But it’s simple

Just let Jesus increase in you

As you decrease

Pray to Jesus

Ask what He’s inviting you into today

Then do it in love

I lack faith right now that I’ll be able to get the support I need to continue in my calling to be a Messenger of the Gospel of Peace where the need is so so great, and the harvest is ready.

I’m worried about money. I feel stripped of everything. So here is a place to enact the faith in what I cannot see yet. It’s not faith that the money will come in. It’s faith in Jesus who called me. Who has provided at every point up until now, so He’ll continue to. Who I saw supernaturally heal two people this week. It’s faith in Him. And for that I need not worry. He’s won the victory. And He’s won it for you too!

you are loved

Grace and Peace
